Das ab Februar 2021 verkaufte Lenovo T14 Gen 2 ist ein Laptop mit 14 Zoll Bildschirm. Das T15 Gen 2 ist die Variante mit dem 15" Bildschirm. Die Variante mit AMD CPU war das T14 Gen 2 (AMD).
Wesentliche Unterschiede zum Vorgängermodell T14 Gen 1
- neue CPU-Generation: Intel Core i der 11. Generation (Tiger Lake)
- Ethernet nicht bei allen Modellen erhältlich
- Wegfall der T14 Secure Access/Healthcare Edition als eigenständiges Modell, statt dessen jetzt wie seit T15 Gen 1 eine Modell-Variante

Bekannte Probleme
- Wichtiger Hinweis von Lenovo:
- Bitte aktualisieren Sie Ihr BIOS auf die neueste Version, da Lenovo kritische BIOS-Updates für ausgewählte ThinkPad Systeme veröffentlicht hat, um Ladeprobleme bei einigen Konfigurationen von USB-C-Netzteilen zu vermeiden. Wenn Sie sich nicht sicher sind, führen Sie bitte das automatische Update aus, um fortzufahren.
- Angeblich wegen Materialmangels durch die Corona-Lockdowns in China bei erhöhter Nachfrage durch Verlegen zahlreicher Arbeitsplätze in "Home-Offices" kamen einige Chargen des T14 und T15 Gen 2 (Intel) ohne Ethernet-Chip in den Handel. Die offizielle Verlautbarung war etwas positiver formuliert:

- Bei einigen Rechnern war der seitliche Dockanschluss durch ein geändertes Basecover verdeckt, bei einigen anderen war er zugänglich, Ethernet funktionierte dennoch wegen des fehlenden Chips nicht.
